Abstract
An archery system, method and bow are described herein. The archery system, in an embodiment, includes an energy resource and a driver. The driver is configured to receive a force derived from the energy resource. The driver is also configured to distribute the force to a plurality of limb holders, each of which is pivotally coupled to the archery bow.
Claims37
An archery system comprising:
- a first limb holder configured to be pivotally coupled to an archery bow comprising a draw cord, wherein the first limb holder is configured to hold a first limb portion of a first limb of the archery bow, wherein the first limb comprises a first limb end;
- a second limb holder configured to be pivotally coupled to the archery bow, wherein the second limb holder is configured to hold a second limb portion of a second limb of the archery bow, wherein the second limb comprises a second limb end;
- an energy resource configured to be coupled to the archery bow;
- an actuator configured to be operatively coupled to the energy resource;
- and
- a driver configured to:
- receive a force in response to an actuation of the actuator, wherein the force is based on the energy resource:
- distribute a first part of the force to the first limb holder;
- and
- distribute a second part of the force to the second limb holder,
- wherein the first and second limb holders are configured so that, as a result of the force, each of the first and second limb holders pivots relative to the archery bow so as to cause an increase in a tension in the draw cord without causing an increase in a distance between the first and second limb ends,
- wherein the first and second limb holders are configured so that, as the result of the force, each of the first and second limb holders pivots relative to the archery bow so as to cause the increase in the tension and to at least momentarily cause a decrease in the distance between the first and second limb ends.

An archery system comprising:
- a first limb holder configured to be pivotally coupled to an archery bow comprising a draw cord, wherein the first limb holder is configured to hold a first limb portion of a first limb of the archery bow, wherein the first limb comprises a first limb end;
- a second limb holder configured to be pivotally coupled to the archery bow, wherein the second limb holder is configured to hold a second limb portion of a second limb of the archery bow, wherein the second limb comprises a second limb end;
- an energy resource configured to be coupled to the archery bow;
- an actuator configured to be operatively coupled to the energy resource;
- and
- a driver configured to:
- receive a force in response to an actuation of the actuator, wherein the force is based on the energy resource;
- distribute a first part of the force to the first limb holder;
- and
- distribute a second part of the force to the second limb holder,
- wherein the first and second limb holders are configured so that, as a result of the force, each of the first and second limb holders pivots relative to the archery bow so as to cause an increase in a tension in the draw cord without causing an increase in a distance between the first and second limb ends,
- wherein the first and second limb holders are configured so that, as the result of the force, each of the first and second limb holders pivots relative to the archer bow so as to cause each of the first and second limbs to undergo a deformation, wherein the deformations at least momentarily cause a decrease in the distance between the first and second limb ends.

An archery system comprising:
- an energy resource configured to be coupled to an archery bow comprising a plurality of limbs connectable to a draw cord, wherein each of the limbs comprises a limb end;
- and
- a driver configured to:
- receive a force that is derived from the energy resource;
- and
- distribute the force to a plurality of limb holders, each of which is pivotally coupled to the archery bow,
- wherein the limb holders are configured so that, in response to the distribution of the force when the limb holders are holding the limbs connected to the draw cord, each of the limb holders pivots relative to the archery bow to cause an increase in a tension in the draw cord without causing an increase in a distance between the limb ends,
- wherein, in response to the distribution of the force, the limb holders are configured to cause the increase in the tension and at least momentarily cause a decrease in the distance between the limb ends.
