Abstract
The invention provides siRNA compositions that specifically downregulates expression of a variant of the PNPLA3 gene and methods of use thereof for treating a chronic liver disease or alcoholic liver disease (ALD).
Claims11
A composition comprising a small interfering RNA (siRNA) molecule that specifically downregulates expression of a rs738409 C>G variant of a patatin-like phospholipase domain-containing (PNPLA3) gene, wherein the siRNA molecule comprises a nucleotide sequence of at least one of SEQ ID NOs 288-297.
A method for treating a subject with a chronic liver disease or alcoholic liver disease (ALD), the methods comprising administrating a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising a small interfering RNA (siRNA) molecule that specifically downregulates expression of a rs738409 C>G variant of a patatin-like phospholipase domain-containing (PNPLA3) gene, wherein the siRNA molecule comprises a nucleotide sequence of at least one of SEQ ID NOs 288-297.
