Abstract
The disclosure relates to a syringe support for supporting an axial position of a syringe relative to a housing of an autoinjector. The syringe support includes a supporting beam arranged on the syringe support and biased radially inwards. The supporting beam is adapted to axially bias the syringe in a distal direction within the housing. The disclosure further relates to an autoinjector.
Claims28
A syringe support for supporting an axial position of a syringe relative to a housing of an autoinjector, the autoinjector having a proximal end that is opposite of a distal end of the autoinjector, the distal end of the autoinjector being closer to a needle of the syringe compared to the proximal end of the autoinjector, wherein the syringe support is configured to form a rear part of the autoinjector and comprises:
- a proximal closure portion configured to close a proximal aperture of the housing of the autoinjector;
- at least two rigid arms extending in a distal direction from the proximal closure portion;
- and
- a flexible supporting structure arranged distally on the at least two rigid arms,
- wherein the flexible supporting structure is adapted to axially bias a flange of the syringe in a distal direction within the housing of the autoinjector towards the distal end of the autoinjector.
An autoinjector comprising:
- a housing comprising a syringe support for supporting an axial position of a syringe relative to the housing, the syringe support comprising a flexible supporting structure arranged on the syringe support;
- a drive spring which is arranged within a proximal part of the housing;
- and
- a plunger which serves for forwarding a force of the drive spring to a medicament contained in the syringe,
- wherein a proximal end of the autoinjector is opposite a distal end of the autoinjector, the distal end of the autoinjector being closer to a needle of the syringe compared to the proximal end of the autoinjector,
- wherein the flexible supporting structure is adapted to axially bias a flange of the syringe in a distal direction within the housing of the autoinjector towards the distal end.
An autoinjector, comprising:
- a housing comprising a syringe support for supporting an axial position of a syringe relative to the housing, the syringe support comprising a supporting structure arranged on the syringe support;
- a drive spring which is arranged within a proximal part of the housing;
- and
- a plunger which serves for forwarding a force of the drive spring to a medicament contained in the syringe,
- wherein the supporting structure is adapted to axially bias the syringe in a distal direction within the housing of the autoinjector, and
- wherein a proximal end of the autoinjector is opposite to a distal end of the autoinjector, the distal end of the autoinjector being closer to a needle of the syringe compared to the proximal end of the autoinjector.
