Abstract
The invention provides compositions that increase the mobilization, homing, expansion, and/or differentiation of stem cells and methods of using the same for the treatment of mammals.
Claims6
A composition, comprising:
- a low molecular weight fraction of a human serum albumin pharmaceutical composition comprising aspartyl-alanyl diketopiperazine (DA-DKP), N-acetyl tryptophan, and caprylate and/or caprylic acid, wherein:
- albumin has been removed by filtration;
- the molecular weight of the fraction is less than 5000;
- the fraction comprises DA-DKP;
- and
- a cell culture medium supplemented with said supplement is capable of supporting the expansion of stem cells.
