A method for treating an inflammatory respiratory disease, comprising administering an effective amount of RXR agonist as an active ingredient, wherein the inflammatory respiratory disease is emphysema or bronchial asthma wherein the RXR agonist is a compound represented by Formula (1)
- wherein D is selected cMe2, N-ethyl N-isopropyl;
- R1 is selected from a methyl group, a hydroxy group, a methoxy group or an ethoxy group,
- R2 is selected from H, a methyl group or an ethyl group;
- X is selected from N, CH or C—CF3,
- Y is selected from N or CH;
- Z is CH.
