A novel maize variety designated X08N746 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X08N746 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X08N746 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X08N746, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X08N746 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X08N746 and methods of using maize variety X08N746 are disclosed.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08N746, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH41W7 with a second plant of variety PH41 M2, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH41W7 and PH41 M2 have been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202006054 and ATCC Accession Number PTA-124813 and, respectively.
An F1 hybrid maize variety X08N746 seed further comprising at least one and fewer than six locus conversions, the seed further comprising the locus conversion being produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH41W7 with a second plant of variety PH41 M2, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH41W7 and PH41 M2 have been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202006054 and ATCC Accession Number PTA-124813 and, respectively, wherein the locus conversion has been introduced into at least one of variety PH41W7 and variety PH41 M2, and wherein the seed produces a plant expressing the traits conferred by the locus conversion and comprising otherwise all the physiological and morphological characteristics of maize variety X08N746 when grown under the same environmental conditions when evaluated at the 5% significance level.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08N746 further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the single locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH41W7 with a second plant of variety PH41 M2, wherein the first plant, the second plant or both further comprise the single locus conversion, and wherein representative seed of the varieties PH41W7 and PH41 M2 have been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202006054 and ATCC Accession Number PTA-124813 and, respectively.
