Abstract
An electronic component includes a body having a recessed portion, an inner conductor embedded in the body, and an outer electrode electrically connected to the inner conductor. At least part of the outer electrode is disposed in the recessed portion of the body. The electronic component further includes an insulating layer configured such that at least part of the outer electrode is covered with the insulating layer.

An electronic component comprising:
- a body having a recessed portion;
- an inner conductor embedded in the body;
- and
- an outer electrode electrically connected to the inner conductor, and at least part of the outer electrode is disposed in the recessed portion of the body,
- wherein the recessed portion is continuously disposed on an end face of the body and at least one side surface of the body such that the recessed portion includes a first part formed in the end face and a second part that extends from a bottom surface of the first part along the at least one side surface towards an other end face of the body that is opposite the end face.
