A microscopic image processing system comprising:

• a scanner configured to capture a microscopic image of an observation target object and generate image data representing the microscopic image;
• and
• a memory storing executable user code which, when read, causes processing circuitry to:
• obtain a request to change a display range of the image data from a first area to a second area;
• determine a speed to change the display range based on the request and frequency components of the image data, wherein the frequency components indicate a feature part within the observation target object;
• and
• change the display range with the speed.

A method comprising:

• obtaining a request to change a display range of a captured image of an observation target object from a first area to a second area;
• measure frequency components of the image;
• determine a speed to change the display range based on the request and the frequency components of the image, wherein the frequency components indicate a feature part within the observation target object;
• and
• change the display range with the speed.
