Composition and method for treatment of neurodegenerative diseases

An emulsion, consisting essentially of:

• (a) a first component consisting essentially of:
• (i) 75 to 97 weight percent of medium chain triglycerides;
• wherein the medium chain triglycerides consist essentially of 6 to 12 carbon fatty acid esters of glycerol and the fatty acids are selected from the group consisting of caproic, caprylic, capric, lauric acid and mixtures thereof;
• (ii) 4 to 15 weight percent of soy lecithin;
• (iii) 0.05 to 1 weight percent biotin;
• and
• (iv) 0.01 to 0.2 weight percent antioxidant, wherein the antioxidant is selected from the group consisting of tocopherol, ascorbyl palmitate, rosemary extract and mixtures thereof;
• and
• (b) olive oil, wherein a weight ratio of the first component to the olive oil is 2:1 to 1:2 and the olive oil.
