Abstract
The present invention relates to a compound of formula XXII and a compound of formula 17ya, which are defined as anywhere in the specification, to a composition comprising the same, and to a method of using thereof in the treatment of various forms of cancer.

A compound selected from the following group:
- (2-(1-H-indol-1-yl)imidazol-4-yl)(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methanone;
- (2-(1-H-indol-2-yl)imidazol-4-yl)(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methanone;
- (2-(1-H-indol-4-yl)imidazol-4-yl)(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methanone;
- (2-(1-H-indol-5-yl)imidazol-4-yl)(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methanone;
- (2-(1-H-indol-6-yl)imidazol-4-yl)(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methanone;
- and
- (2-(1-H-indol-7-yl)imidazol-4-yl)(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methanone,
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a hydrate thereof, or a combination thereof.

A method of treating cancer by administering a therapeutically effective amount of a compound selected from the following group:
- (2-(1-H-indol-1-yl)imidazol-4-yl)(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methanone;
- (2-(1-H-indol-2-yl)imidazol-4-yl)(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methanone;
- (2-(1-H-indol-4-yl)imidazol-4-yl)(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methanone;
- (2-(1-H-indol-5-yl)imidazol-4-yl)(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methanone;
- (2-(1-H-indol-6-yl)imidazol-4-yl)(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methanone;
- and
- (2-(1-H-indol-7-yl)imidazol-4-yl)(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methanone,
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a hydrate thereof, or a combination thereof.
