A hand cover comprising
- a body comprising a palmar portion, a dorsal portion, and a distal end;
- a first digital segment projecting from said distal end of said body, said first digital segment being adapted to overlay and cover an entire thumb of a user's hand including a fingertip of a thumb of the user;
- and
- a second digital segment projecting from said distal end of said body and being adapted to overlay and cover a fingertip of a forefinger of said user;
- wherein said second digital segment comprises a dorsal portion, a palmar portion, and a side portion, and wherein said second digital segment comprises an aperture adapted to leave at least a portion of a proximal phalangeal of said forefinger uncovered;
- and
- a third digital segment projecting from said distal end of said body, said third digital segment being adapted to overlay and cover an entire middle finger of the user's hand including a fingertip of said middle finger;
- a fourth digital segment projecting from said distal end of said body, said fourth digital segment being adapted to overlay and cover an entire pinkie finger of the user's hand including a fingertip of said pinkie finger;
- and,
- wherein said forefinger digital segment side portion is adjacent said middle finger digital segment;
- and,
- wherein said hand cover body has a wrist end portion, said wrist end portion comprising;
- a flap and flap capture mechanism for fastening the glove body secure about a wrist area of the user when the glove is worn.
A hand cover comprising
- a glove body comprising a palmar portion, a dorsal portion, and a distal end;
- a first digital segment projecting from said distal end of said body, said first digital segment being adapted to overlay and cover an entire thumb of a user's hand including a fingertip of the thumb of the user;
- and
- a second digital segment projecting from said distal end of said body and being adapted to overlay and cover a fingertip of a forefinger of said user;
- wherein said second digital segment comprises a dorsal portion, a palmar portion, and a side portion, and wherein said second digital segment comprises an aperture adapted to leave a portion of a proximal phalangeal of said forefinger uncovered;
- and
- wherein said aperture is adapted such that it does not extend to expose the distal interphalangeal or the metacarpophalangeal of said user's forefinger when the glove is worn;
- a third digital segment projecting from said distal end of said body, said third digital segment being adapted to overlay and cover an entire middle finger of the user's hand including a fingertip of said middle finger;
- a fourth digital segment projecting from said distal end of said body, said fourth digital segment being adapted to overlay and cover an entire pinkie finger of the user's hand including a fingertip of said pinkie finger;
- and,
- wherein said forefinger digital segment side portion is adjacent said middle finger digital segment;
- and,
- wherein said hand cover body has a wrist end portion, said wrist end portion comprising;
- a flap and flap capture mechanism for fastening the glove body secure about the user's wrist area when the glove is worn.
A hand cover comprising
- a body comprising a palmar portion, a dorsal portion, and a distal end;
- a first digital segment projecting from said distal end of said body, said first digital segment being adapted to overlay and cover an entire thumb of a user's hand including a fingertip of the thumb of the user's hand;
- and
- a second digital segment projecting from said distal end of said body and being adapted to overlay and cover a fingertip of a forefinger of said user;
- wherein said second digital segment comprises a dorsal portion, a palmar portion, and a side portion, and wherein said second digital segment comprises an aperture adapted to leave at least a portion of a proximal phalangeal of said forefinger uncovered;
- and
- wherein said aperture is adapted such that it does not extend to expose the distal interphalangeal or the metacarpophalangeal of said user's forefinger when the glove is worn;
- a third digital segment projecting from said distal end of said body, said third digital segment being adapted to overlay and cover an entire middle finger of the user's hand including a fingertip of said middle finger;
- a fourth digital segment projecting from said distal end of said body, said fourth digital segment being adapted to overlay and cover an entire pinkie finger of the user's hand including a fingertip of said pinkie finger;
- and,
- wherein said forefinger digital segment side portion is adjacent said middle finger digital segment;
- and,
- wherein said hand cover body has a wrist end portion, said wrist end portion comprising;
- a flap and flap capture mechanism for fastening the glove body secure about the wrist area, and an expandable opening means formed by a slit positioned along said hand cover dorsal portion;
- said flap adapted to be positioned on said wrist end portion such that said flap overlays said slit to enable glove securement about the user's wrist area;
- and
- wherein said palmar portion of said body comprises of a grip enhancing means that is adapted to provide a higher coefficient of friction than the surrounding area of the glove surface and thereby provide increased grip capabilities when gripping a sports ball or device during sports play.
