Abstract
A novel maize variety designated PH481R and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are provided. Methods for producing a maize plant comprise crossing maize variety PH481R with another maize plant are provided. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into PH481R through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are provided. Hybrid maize seed, plants or plant parts are produced by crossing the variety PH481R or a locus conversion of PH481R with another maize variety.
Claims20
A seed, plant, plant part, or plant cell of inbred maize variety PH481R, representative seed of the variety having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202006041.
A converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell of inbred maize variety PH481R, representative seed of the maize variety PH481R having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202006041, wherein the converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell comprises fewer than six locus conversions, and wherein the plant or a plant grown from the converted seed, plant part or plant cell comprises the fewer than six locus conversions and otherwise comprises the physiological and morphological characteristics of maize variety PH481R when grown under the same environmental conditions, and further wherein the fewer than six locus conversion confer a property selected from the group consisting of male sterility, site-specific recombination, abiotic stress tolerance, altered phosphate, altered antioxidants, altered fatty acids, altered essential amino acids, altered carbohydrates, herbicide tolerance, insect resistance and disease resistance.
A seed of inbred maize variety PH481R, further comprising a transgene, representative seed of inbred maize variety PH481R having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202006041, wherein the transgene was introduced into inbred maize variety PH481R by backcrossing or genetic transformation.
