Abstract
A novel maize variety designated PH46451 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are provided. Methods for producing a maize plant comprise crossing maize variety PH46451 with another maize plant are provided. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into PH46451 through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are provided. Hybrid maize seed, plants or plant parts are produced by crossing the variety PH46451 or a locus conversion of PH46451 with another maize variety.
Claims20
A seed, plant, plant part, or plant cell of inbred maize variety PH46451, representative seed of the variety having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202006029.
A converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell of inbred maize variety PH46451, representative seed of the maize variety PH46451 having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202006029, wherein the converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell comprises a locus conversion, and wherein the plant or a plant grown from the converted seed, plant part or plant cell comprises the locus conversion and otherwise comprises the physiological and morphological characteristics of maize variety PH46451 when grown under the same environmental conditions.
An F1 hybrid seed produced by crossing a plant or plant part of inbred maize variety PH46451, representative seed of the variety having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202006029 with a different maize plant, wherein inbred maize variety PH46451 further comprises a transgene that is inherited by the seed, wherein the transgene was introduced into inbred maize variety PH46451 by backcrossing or genetic transformation.
