Abstract
A vehicle system device is provided. The vehicle system device is used in a vehicle system that enables an in-vehicle device used in a vehicle and a mobile device carried by a user to transmit and receive a signal via a wireless communication. The vehicle system device may measure a time from a time point at which a reception intensity of the signal exceeds a threshold to a time point at which the reception intensity falls below the threshold.
Claims9
A vehicle system device used in a vehicle system that enables an in-vehicle device used in a vehicle and a mobile device carried by a user to transmit and receive a signal via a wireless communication, the vehicle system device provided as the in-vehicle device or the mobile device, the vehicle system device comprising:
- a time measurement unit configured to measure a time from a time point at which a reception intensity of the signal, which is transmitted via the wireless communication and received by the vehicle system device, exceeds a threshold to a time point at which the reception intensity falls below the threshold, and the threshold being within a receivable range of the reception intensity of the signal for the vehicle system device;
- and
- an inside-outside determination unit configured to execute an inside-outside determination of determining that the mobile device is located inside a vehicle interior of the vehicle when a measurement time, which is provided as the time measured by the time measurement unit, is equal to or more than a predetermined value, and determining that the mobile device is located outside the vehicle interior of the vehicle when the measurement time is less than the predetermined value.
A vehicle system comprising:
- an in-vehicle device used in a vehicle;
- and
- a mobile device carried by a user;
- wherein:
- the in-vehicle device and the mobile device transmit and receive a signal via a wireless communication;
- and
- at least one of the in-vehicle device and the mobile device is provided as a subject vehicle, and the subject vehicle includes:
- a time measurement unit configured to measure a time from a time point at which reception intensity of the signal, which is transmitted via the wireless communication and received by the subject device, exceeds a threshold to a time point at which the reception intensity falls below the threshold, and the threshold being within a receivable range of the reception intensity of the signal for the vehicle system device;
- and
- an inside-outside determination unit configured to execute an inside-outside determination of determining that the mobile device is located inside a vehicle interior of the vehicle when a measurement time, which is provided as the time measured by the time measurement unit, is equal to or more than a predetermined value, and determining that the mobile device is located outside the vehicle interior of the vehicle when the measurement time is less than the predetermined value.
A vehicle system device used in a vehicle system that enables an in-vehicle device used in a vehicle and a mobile device carried by a user to transmit and receive a signal via a wireless communication, the vehicle system device provided as the in-vehicle device or the mobile device,
- the vehicle system device comprising a processor configured to:
- measure a time from a time point at which a reception intensity of the signal, which is transmitted via the wireless communication and received by the vehicle system device, exceeds a threshold to a time point at which the reception intensity falls below the threshold, and the threshold being within a receivable range of the reception intensity of the signal for the vehicle system device;
- and
- execute an inside-outside determination of determining that the mobile device is located inside a vehicle interior of the vehicle when a measurement time, which is provided as the time measured by the processor, is equal to or more than a predetermined value, and determining that the mobile device is located outside the vehicle interior of the vehicle when the measurement time is less than the predetermined value.
