Abstract
A method for transmitting media data is provided. The method includes transmitting, to a display device, guide information on a scope of a content for displaying the content based on the scope, and transmitting, to the display device, at least one asset of the content corresponding to the scope. The guide information comprises guide type information which indicates a type for describing the scope.

A method for transmitting three-dimensional (3D) content, the method comprising:
- identifying, by a sending entity, a guide message including guide information on at least a portion of the 3D content to be displayed in a receiving entity;
- and
- transmitting, to the receiving entity, the guide message,
- wherein the guide information comprises flag information indicating whether to present only a guide region associated with the guide information in the receiving entity and type information on a type relating to the guide region.
A method for receiving three-dimensional (3D) content, the method comprising:
- receiving, by a receiving entity from a sending entity, a guide message including guide information on at least a portion of the 3D content to be displayed in the receiving entity,
- wherein the guide information comprises flag information indicating whether to present only a guide region associated with the guide information in the receiving entity and type information on a type relating to the guide region.
A sending entity for transmitting three-dimensional (3D) content, the sending entity comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- at least one processor,
- wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
- identify a guide message including guide information on at least a portion of the 3D content to be displayed in a receiving entity, and
- transmit, to the receiving entity, the guide message, and
- wherein the guide information comprises flag information indicating whether to present only a guide region associated with the guide information in the receiving entity and type information on a type relating to the guide region.
A receiving entity for receiving three-dimensional (3D) content, the receiving entity comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- at least one processor,
- wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
- receive, from a sending entity, a guide message including guide information on at least a portion of the 3D content to be displayed in the receiving entity, and
- wherein the guide information comprises flag information indicating whether to present only a guide region associated with the guide information in the receiving entity and type information on a type relating to the guide region.
