Abstract
A management system includes an interface board configured to provide bi-directional communication between a networking device and one or more devices, wherein the interface board is coupled to the networking device and connects to one or more devices via one or more communication protocols supported by one or more devices. The management system further includes a management module connected to the interface board with the management module configured to receive, from the interface board, data packets generated by the one or more devices, and transmit the data packets to a remote server.
Claims20
A device, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- one or more processors coupled to the memory, the one or more processors being configured to perform operations comprising:
- provide communication between a first device via a first communication protocol and a second device via a second communication protocol;
- receive a data packet from the first device, the data packet including a request to perform an operation at the second device;
- identify a protocol ID associated with the data packet that identifies the first communication protocol for the data packet that is supported by the first device;
- convert the data packet, based on the protocol ID, from the first communication protocol to the second communication protocol for transmission to the second device;
- and
- communicate the data packet with the request to the second device.
A method, comprising:
- providing communication between a first device via a first communication protocol and a second device via a second communication protocol;
- receiving a data packet from the first device, the data packet including a request to perform an operation at the second device;
- identifying a protocol ID associated with the data packet that identifies the first communication protocol for the data packet that is supported by the first device;
- converting the data packet, based on the protocol ID, from the first communication protocol to the second communication protocol for transmission to the second device;
- and
- communicating the data packet with the request to the second device.
One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that are executable by one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- providing communication between a first device via a first communication protocol and a second device via a second communication protocol;
- receiving a data packet from the first device, the data packet including a request to perform an operation at the second device;
- identifying a protocol ID associated with the data packet that identifies the first communication protocol for the data packet that is supported by the first device;
- converting the data packet, based on the protocol ID, from the first communication protocol to the second communication protocol for transmission to the second device;
- and
- communicating the data packet with the request to the second device.
