Abstract
In one embodiment, a direct current bus is disclosed. The direct current bus is a four conductor bus and comprises a positive voltage conductor, a neutral conductor, a negative voltage conductor, and a safety ground. The direct current bus may be implemented in a photovoltaic system to interconnect various components of the photovoltaic system.
Claims19
A wire comprising:
- a positive voltage conductor;
- a neutral conductor;
- a negative voltage conductor;
- and
- a safety ground,
- wherein the positive voltage conductor, the neutral conductor, the negative voltage conductor, and the safety ground are insulated from each other,
- wherein the positive voltage conductor, the neutral conductor, the negative voltage conductor, and the safety ground, are connected to a DC-DC converter, and
- wherein the positive voltage conductor, the neutral conductor, the negative voltage conductor, and the safety ground are connected to a DC-AC inverter, wherein the safety ground is connected to a metal chassis of the DC-AC inverter.
