Abstract
Provided is an image processing apparatus including an acquisition unit configured to acquire a multi-valued image and a binarization unit configured to generate a binary image obtained by binarizing the multi-valued image, and the stated image processing apparatus is configured such that the binarization unit detects a closed region within the multi-valued image, and binarizes the inside of the closed region based on luminance inside the closed region and luminance around the closed region.
Claims11
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- an acquisition unit configured to acquire a multi-valued image;
- and
- a binarization unit configured to generate a binary image obtained by binarizing the multi-valued image,
- wherein the binarization unit detects a plurality of closed regions that forms the multi-valued image, with the closed regions each having a plurality of pixels, and
- the binarization unit performs binarization of the closed regions to generate the binary image, with the binarization of the closed regions including binarizing a plurality of pixels of at least one of the closed regions by a threshold which is based on both luminance inside the at least one of the closed regions and luminance inside different one of the closed regions that is different from the at least one of the closed regions and in which the pixels of the at least one of the closed regions do not belong.
A binary image production method for acquiring a multi-valued image and producing a binary image obtained by binarizing the above multi-valued image, the method comprising:
- detecting a plurality of closed regions that forms the multi-valued image, with the closed regions each having a plurality of pixels;
- and
- performing binarization of the closed regions to generate the binary image, with the binarization of the closed regions including binarizing a plurality of pixels of at least one of the closed regions by a threshold which is based on both luminance inside the at least one of the closed regions and luminance inside different one of the closed regions that is different from the at least one of the closed regions and in which the pixels of the at least one of the closed regions do not belong.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium with an image processing program causing a computer to function as an acquisition unit configured to acquire a multi-valued image, and a binarization unit configured to generate a binary image obtained by binarizing the multi-valued image,
- wherein the image processing program further causes the computer to function in such a manner that the binarization unit
- detects a plurality of closed regions that forms the multi-valued image, with the closed regions each having a plurality of pixels, and
- performs binarization of the closed regions to generate the binary image, with the binarization of the closed regions including binarizing a plurality of pixels of at least one of the closed regions by a threshold which is based on both luminance inside the at least one of the closed regions and luminance inside different one of the closed regions that is different from the at least one of the closed regions and in which the pixels of the at least one of the closed regions do not belong.
