Abstract
A novel maize variety designated PH47CA and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are provided. Methods for producing a maize plant comprise crossing maize variety PH47CA with another maize plant are provided. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into PH47CA through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are provided. Hybrid maize seed, plants or plant parts are produced by crossing the variety PH47CA or a locus conversion of PH47CA with another maize variety.
Claims20
A seed, plant, plant part, or plant cell of inbred maize variety PH47CA, representative seed of the variety having been deposited under NCMA accession No. 202004021.
A converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell of inbred maize variety PH47CA, representative seed of the maize variety PH47CA having been deposited under NCMA accession No. 202004021, wherein the converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell comprises a locus conversion, and wherein the plant or a plant grown from the converted seed, plant part or plant cell comprises the locus conversion and otherwise comprises the physiological and morphological characteristics of maize variety PH47CA when grown under the same environmental conditions.
An F1 hybrid seed produced by crossing a plant or plant part of inbred maize variety PH47CA, representative seed of the variety having been deposited under NCMA accession No. 202004021 with a different maize plant, wherein inbred maize variety PH47CA further comprises a transgene that is inherited by the seed, wherein the transgene was introduced into inbred maize variety PH47CA by backcrossing or genetic transformation.
