Abstract
A ski locking device and method for securing a pair of snow skis equipped with snow brakes are provided. The ski locking device comprises a housing having a rear portion, and a lockable closure member connected to the housing. The housing and the lockable closure member are configured such that, when the ski locking device is in a closed position locking a pair of skis, with a slide surface of the first ski facing a slide surface of the second ski, the rear portion of the housing faces a first edge of the first ski and a second edge of the second ski. The lockable closure member encloses the snow brakes at a crossing point of the snow brakes.
Claims18
A combination of a ski locking device, and a pair of snow skis comprising a first snow ski and a second snow ski, the ski locking device for securing, the first snow ski and the second snow ski, each ski being equipped with a snow brake, the ski locking device comprising:
- a housing having a front portion and a rear portion;
- at least one lockable closure member having a rigid cuff, the rigid cuff extending from the housing so that the rear portion of the housing faces a first edge of the first snow ski and a second edge of the second snow ski;
- and
- wherein the housing and the lockable closure member are configured such that, when the ski locking device is in a closed position, with a slide surface of the first ski facing a slide surface of the second ski, the lockable closure member encloses the snow brakes at their crossing point for locking the lockable closure member to the first ski and the second ski;
- wherein, when the ski locking device is in the closed position, the rigid cuff is configured to lock by engaging an end portion of the rigid cuff with a lock member on the housing.
A combination of a ski locking device, and a pair of snow skis comprising a first snow ski and a second snow ski, the ski locking device comprising:
- a housing;
- a first rigid cuff extending from the housing for enclosing the snow brake crossing point of the pair of snow skis when positioned, so that a slide surface of the first ski faces a slide surface of the second ski;
- a second rigid cuff extending from the housing for enclosing a first ski pole;
- a third rigid cuff extending from the housing for enclosing a second ski pole;
- and
- wherein the first rigid cuff, the second rigid cuff and the third rigid cuff each lock by fastening an end portion thereof to the housing.
