Abstract
This document relates to methods and materials for virotherapy. For example, this document provides methods and materials for treating cancer using a recombinant mumps virus as an oncolytic agent.
Claims22
A recombinant mumps virus (MuV) having oncolytic anti-cancer activity, wherein said recombinant MuV comprises nucleic acid encoding a modified RNA polymerase large (L) subunit protein comprising a N to H substitution at amino acid 1631 as numbered in SEQ ID NO:10.
A method for treating a patient having cancer, the method comprising:
- administering to the patient a recombinant mumps virus (MuV) having oncolytic anticancer activity, wherein said recombinant MuV comprises nucleic acid encoding a modified RNA polymerase large (L) subunit protein comprising a N to H substitution at amino acid 1631 as numbered in SEQ ID NO:10.
An expression construct comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding a recombinant MuV having oncolytic anti-cancer activity, wherein said recombinant MuV comprises nucleic acid encoding a modified RNA polymerase large (L) subunit protein comprising a N to H substitution at amino acid 1631 as numbered in SEQ ID NO:10.
