Recasting a form-based user interface into a mobile device user interface using common data

A computer program product, embodied in a non-transitory computer readable medium, the non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon a sequence of instructions which, when stored in memory and executed by a processor causes the processor to execute a process for recasting a form to a mobile device, the process comprising:

• maintaining a core path specification, the core path specification being generated at least by capturing data and processing at least the data and comprising a probabilistic model of field usage;
• receiving, from a user device, a request to a form, the request corresponding to one or more forms maintained by a backend system;
• and
• selecting one or more fields from the one or more forms maintained by the backend system for transmission to the user device, the one or more fields being selected based on at least the core path specification.

A system for recasting a form to a mobile device, the system comprising:

• a processor;
• a memory comprising computer code executed using the processor, in which the computer code implements:
• maintaining a core path specification, the core path specification being generated at least by capturing data and processing at least the data and comprising a probabilistic model of field usage;
• receiving, from a user device, a request to a form, the request corresponding to one or more forms maintained by a backend system;
• and
• selecting one or more fields from the one or more forms maintained by the backend system for transmission to the user device, the one or more fields being selected based on at least the core path specification.
