Abstract
Systems, interfaces, and methods for implementing the systems and interfaces includes selection attractive movement as the selection protocol, where a selection object is used to discriminate between selectable objects and attract a target object toward the selection objects, where the direction and speed of the motion controls, discriminates, attracts, and activates the selected objects.
Claims26
A method implemented on an electronic device including a touchscreen, a processor, and an input device, wherein the method comprises:
- receiving, at the touchscreen, a first input having a first direction;
- in response to the first input:
- displaying, on the touchscreen, a plurality of selectable objects, wherein the selectable objects correspond to an attribute associated with real world devices and/or virtual objects, moving one or more selectable objects aligned with the first direction towards a starting point of the first input, and
- spreading out the one or more selectable objects by separating a distance between each of the one or more selectable objects;
- receiving, at the touchscreen, while the selectable objects are displayed on the touchscreen, a second input having a second direction;
- and
- in response to the second input:
- discriminating a particular selectable object from the one or more selectable objects based on the second direction coming into contact with or into a threshold event with the particular selectable object,
- moving the particular object into a center of the display and returning the non-selected selectable objects from the one or more selectable objects to their original locations, and indicating that the particular selectable object is selected via highlighting of said selected object,
- wherein the threshold event comprises a threshold degree of certainty greater than 50%.

A mobile device comprising:
- a touchscreen;
- and
- a processor configured to:
- responsive to a first input at the touchscreen indicating a first movement having a first direction:
- display, on the touchscreen, a plurality of selectable objects, wherein the selectable objects correspond to an attribute associated with real world devices and/or virtual objects,
- move one or more selectable objects aligned with the first direction towards a starting point of the first input, and
- spread out the one or more selectable objects by separating a distance between each of the one or more selectable objects;
- and
- responsive to a second input having a second direction at the touchscreen received while the selectable objects are displayed on the touchscreen:
- discriminate a particular selectable object from the one or more selectable objects based on the second direction coming into contact with or into a threshold event with the particular selectable object,
- move the particular object into a center of the display and returning the non-selected selectable objects to their original locations, and
- indicate that the particular selectable object is selected via highlighting of said selected object,
- wherein the threshold event comprises a threshold degree of certainty greater than 50%.

A system comprising:
- a motion sensor configured to receive:
- a first input indicating a first movement having a first direction, and
- a second input indicating a second movement having a second direction;
- and
- a processor, coupled to the motion sensor, configured to:
- in response to the first input,
- display on a display device in communication with the processor a plurality of selectable objects, if the objects are already displayed, wherein the objects may be real objects and/or virtual objects in a generated real world or a generated virtual world,
- move the one or more selectable items or objects on the touchscreen in a direction opposite the first direction, and
- spread out the one or more objects or items or increasing a separation between the one or more objects or items;
- and
- in response to the second input,
- discriminate a particular selectable object from the one or more selectable objects based on the second direction coming into contact with or into a threshold event with the particular selectable object,
- move the particular object into a center of the display and returning the non-selected selectable objects to their original locations, and
- indicate that the particular selectable object is selected via highlighting of said selected object,
- wherein the threshold event comprises a threshold degree of certainty greater than 50%.
