Abstract
A rear view device for a vehicle for optimizing airflow includes a spoiler, the spoiler including a flexible surface layer (which is reversibly deformable and which is arranged to cover an opening in a surface of the rear view mirror. The spoiler may include at least one stamp having active material for deforming the flexible surface layer where the at least one stamp is adapted to translate between a retracted and a deployed position.
Claims11
A rear view device for a vehicle comprising a spoiler for optimizing airflow, the spoiler comprising:
- a flexible surface layer which is reversibly deformable and which is arranged to cover an opening in a surface of the rear view device;
- and
- at least one stamp comprising active material for deforming the flexible surface layer, wherein the at least one stamp is adapted to translate between a retracted and a deployed position.
