Evaporator

A holding structure of an evaporator with a body portion, the holding structure comprising:

• a packing adhered to a surface of the evaporator;
• and
• an air-conditioning case that defines an air passage in which the evaporator is provided, the air-conditioning case including a holding portion that protrudes from an inner surface of the air-conditioning case to hold the evaporator by compressing the packing, wherein
• the packing includes
• an inner elastic layer closest to the body portion in the packing, and
• an outer elastic layer closest to the holding portion in the packing,
• a bulk modulus of the outer elastic layer is smaller than a bulk modulus of the inner elastic layer,
• a water absorbability of the inner elastic layer is smaller than a water absorbability of the outer elastic layer,
• the inner elastic layer is made of a closed cell foam member,
• the outer elastic layer is made of an open cell foam member,
• the holding portion includes
• a first rib that compresses the packing to prevent an air from flowing along the outer peripheral side of the body portion, and
• a second rib that compresses the packing to prevent a displacement of the body portion, and
• a thickness of a part of the outer elastic layer that is not compressed by the holding portion is larger than a protrusion length of the first rib.
