System and method for activating a data entry mechanism for an application based on security requirements

A system for activating a data entry mechanism for an application based on security requirements, the system comprising:

• a user device, which is in a particular activity state during an execution of an application;
• and
• a hardware processor configured to:
• detect the activity state of the application;
• determine the security requirements associated with the detected activity state, wherein the determined security requirements comprise properties for the data entry mechanism;
• activate the data entry mechanism for receiving user input for the application, wherein the data entry mechanism is based on the determined security requirements;
• and
• receive user input in accordance with the activated data entry mechanism.

A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions thereon, that when executed perform a method for activating a data entry mechanism for an application based on security requirements, the method comprising:

• detecting, by a hardware processor, an activity state of the application during an execution of the application on a user device;
• determining, by the hardware processor, the security requirements associated with the detected activity state, wherein the determined security requirements comprise properties for the data entry mechanism;
• activating, by the hardware processor, the data entry mechanism for receiving user input for the application, wherein the data entry mechanism is based on the determined security requirements;
• and
• receiving, by the hardware processor, user input in accordance with the activated data entry mechanism.
