Object detection and motion identification using electromagnetic radiation

One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media embodying instructions that when executed by one or more processors cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• activating at a first power level at least some of a plurality of emitters of electromagnetic radiation, wherein each emitter corresponds to a different field of view;
• activate at a second power level at least some of the emitters, wherein the second power level is greater than the first power level;
• and
• detecting, based at least on electromagnetic radiation detected by one or more receivers as a result of emission at the first power level and based on electromagnetic radiation detected by one or more receivers as a result of emission at the second power level, a presence of an object or a motion of the object in a field of view of the one or more receivers, wherein each of the receivers corresponds to a different field of view.

A method comprising:

• activating at a first power level at least some of a plurality of emitters of electromagnetic radiation, wherein each emitter corresponds to a different field of view;
• activating at a second power level at least some of the emitters, wherein the second power level is greater than the first power level;
• and
• detecting, based at least on electromagnetic radiation detected by one or more receivers as a result of emission at the first power level and based on electromagnetic radiation detected by one or more receivers as a result of emission at the second power level, a presence of an object or a motion of the object in a field of view of the one or more receivers, wherein each of the receivers corresponds to a different field of view.
