Abstract
A point of aim shows where a weapon is aimed on a target. An electronic device determines an impact location on the target of a projectile fired from the weapon, determines a distance from the point of aim to the impact location, and moves the point of aim in order to sight the weapon to the target.
Claims18
A method executed by an electronic scope mounted to a rifle, the method comprising:
- displaying, to a shooter and thru the electronic scope mounted to the rifle, a point of aim that is a visual indication showing a location where the rifle is aimed on a target;
- and
- moving, by the electronic scope, the point of aim being displayed to the shooter thru the electronic scope to compensate for bore temperature of the rifle so a bullet fired from the rifle hits the target at the location where the rifle is aimed on the target.
A method executed by an electronic scope mounted to a rifle, the method comprising:
- displaying, to a shooter and thru the electronic scope mounted to the rifle, a point of aim that is a visual indication showing a location where the rifle is aimed on a target;
- and
- moving, by the electronic scope, the point of aim being displayed to the shooter thru the electronic scope to compensate for effects of jitter of the shooter so a bullet fired from the rifle by the shooter hits the target at the location where the rifle is aimed on the target.
A method executed by an electronic scope mounted to a rifle, the method comprising:
- displaying, to a shooter and thru the electronic scope mounted to the rifle, a point of aim that is a visual indication showing a location where the rifle is aimed on a target;
- and
- moving, by the electronic scope, the point of aim being displayed to the shooter thru the electronic scope to compensate for bullets fired from the rifle that missed locations where the rifle was previously fired so a bullet fired from the rifle by the shooter hits the target at the location where the rifle is aimed on the target, wherein movement of the point of aim is based on a pattern of the bullets that previously missed the locations.
