Abstract
The present embodiments relate to the use of dextran sulfate formulated for systemic administration for treatment, inhibition or prevention of cardiac fibrosis in a subject.
Claims24
A method of treating cardiac fibrosis in a subject, said method comprising systemically administering dextran sulfate, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a subject suffering from or having a risk of suffering from cardiac fibrosis.
The method according to claim to 5, wherein said average molecular weight is within a range of 2000 and 10,000 Da.
The method according to claim to 6, wherein said average molecular weight is within a range of 3000 and 10,000 Da.
