Systems and methods for dimming control using TRIAC dimmers

A method for dimming control of one or more light emitting diodes, the method comprising:

• receiving a threshold signal and an input signal associated with a TRLAC dimmer;
• generating a comparison signal based on at least information associated with the first threshold signal and the input signal;
• receiving the comparison signal;
• generating an output signal based on at least information associated with the comparison signal;
• and
• sending the output signal to a switch;
• wherein the process for generating a comparison signal based on at least information associated with the first threshold signal and the input signal includes:
• if the input signal is larger than the first threshold signal in magnitude, generating the comparison signal at a first logic level;
• and
• if the input signal is smaller than the first threshold signal in magnitude, generating the comparison signal at a second logic level;
• wherein the process for sending the output signal to a switch includes sending the output signal to cause the switch to remain closed for a period of time until at least the comparison signal changes from the second logic level to the first logic level.
