Method, device, and system for creating communication groups

A first mobile communication device for creating a communication group among a plurality of mobile communication devices, the first mobile communication device comprising:

• a graphical user interface;
• a radio frequency transceiver;
• and
• an electronic processor and memory, the electronic processor communicatively coupled to the graphical user interface and the radio frequency transceiver and configured to
• create a trigger condition that includes detection of a second mobile communication device in an area;
• send a context data message to a network device, the context data message including the trigger condition and an area definition of the area;
• when the trigger condition occurs and when the first mobile communication device is outside the area, receive, at the first mobile communication device, a group call including the second mobile communication device;
• and
• receive another context data message from the second mobile communication device and to append the another context data message to the context data message for subsequent communication among the plurality of mobile communication devices.

A system for creating a communication group among a plurality of mobile communication devices, the system comprising:

• a network device communicatively coupled to a first mobile communication device and a second mobile communication device, the network device including a network processor and network memory and configured to
• receive a context data message from the first mobile communication device, the context data message including an area definition and a first trigger condition that includes detection of the second mobile communication device inside the area definition,
• determine whether the first trigger condition has occurred, and
• when the first trigger condition has occurred and when the first mobile communication device is outside the area definition, create the communication group including the first mobile communication device and the second mobile communication device,
• wherein the context data message includes connection parameters that define a group of previously connected mobile communication devices, and wherein the network device is configured to join the group of previously connected mobile communication devices to the communication group based on the connection parameters.
