Abstract
A golf ball comprising: (a) a core; (b) an inner mantle layer; (c) an intermediate mantle layer; (d) an outer mantle layer; and (e) at least one cover layer; wherein the core has a PGA compression of less than 70, and the core/inner mantle layer/intermediate mantle layer combined construct has a PGA compression of at least 30.
Claims8
A golf ball comprising:
- (a) a core having;
- i) a diameter from about 1.20 to about 1.50 inches;
- ii) a PGA compression of less than about 60;
- ii) a flex modulus of less than about 10 kpsi;
- (b) an inner mantle layer comprising one or more modified ionomers having a magnesium counter ion and having
- i) a thickness of less than about 0.08 inches ;
- ii) a material hardness of about 30 to about 58 Shore D;
- and
- ii) a flex modulus of from about 10 to about 30 kpsi;
- and
- (c) at least one intermediate mantle layer comprising an ionomer having a magnesium counter ion and having:
