Abstract
Embodiments are related to systems and methods for data determining information about a subject, and more particularly to systems and methods for utilizing and distributing information related to measurements of a human subject.
Claims21
A patient data gathering system, the patient data gathering system comprising:
- a sensor device operable to:
- generate a measurement value corresponding to a physical characteristic of an individual;
- generate a radio frequency field, wherein the radio frequency field has enough energy to power a mobile transponder associated with the individual;
- and
- transmit a message including the measurement value.

A patient data gathering system, the patient data gathering system comprising:
- a mobile transponder associated with an individual and including a memory, wherein the mobile transponder is operable to:
- generate power from a radio frequency signal;
- receive a message via a wireless communication link, wherein the message includes a measurement value corresponding to a physical characteristic of the individual;
- and
- store a data set to the memory, wherein the data set is derived from the message including the measurement value.
2 more elements
A method for delivering care for diabetes patients, the method comprising:
- providing a diabetes kit to a patient, the diabetes kit including:
- a blood glucose measurement device, wherein the blood glucose measurement device is operable to:
- measure a blood glucose level of an individual;
- generate a radio frequency field, wherein the radio frequency field has enough energy to power a mobile transponder associated with the individual;
- and
- transmit a message including the measurement value;
- and
- a transponder associated with the individual, wherein the transponder includes a memory, and wherein the transponder is operable to:
- generate power from the radio frequency field;
- receive the message;
- and
- store a data set to the memory, wherein the data set is derived from the message;
- and
- download the data set from the transponder;
- and
- use the data set as part of a medical service visit.
