Abstract
A rechargeable battery includes: a case having an opening; an electrode assembly in the case and including a first electrode and a second electrode; a cap plate coupled to the opening of the case; a first current collector electrically connected to the first electrode; and a support fixed to an inner surface of the case, wherein the first current collector is hooked on the support.
Claims10
A rechargeable battery comprising:
- a case having an opening at an upper end of the case opposite a bottom of the case, the bottom of the case being spaced apart from the upper end in a first direction;
- an electrode assembly in the case and comprising a first electrode and a second electrode, the electrode assembly being insertable in the first direction through the opening of the case;
- a cap plate coupled to the opening of the case;
- a terminal extending through a lateral surface of the case in a second direction transverse to the first direction, the lateral surface extending in the first direction between the bottom of the case and the upper end of the case, the terminal being electrically connected to the second electrode;
- and
- a second current collector connecting the second electrode with the terminal, the second current collector being hooked on the terminal.
