Abstract
A method, apparatus, and computer program product for improved pseudo-random number generation are provided. An example method includes receiving, by a computing device, a request for a pseudo-random number, selecting, by randomization circuitry of the computing device, a first attribute from a biometric attribute dataset, and obtaining a first value for the first attribute. The method further includes selecting, by the randomization circuitry, a second attribute, and obtaining a second value for the second attribute. The method includes convoluting, by convolution circuitry, the first value with the second value to generate the pseudo-random number.
Claims20
A method for improved pseudo-random number generation, the method comprising:
- receiving, by a computing device, a request for a pseudo-random number;
- selecting, by randomization circuitry of the computing device, a first attribute from a biometric attribute dataset;
- obtaining a first value for the first attribute;
- selecting, by the randomization circuitry, a second attribute;
- obtaining a second value for the second attribute;
- and
- convoluting, by convolution circuitry of the computing device, the first value with the second value to generate the pseudo-random number.
An apparatus for generating an improved pseudo-random number, the apparatus comprising:
- randomization circuitry configured to:
- select a first attribute from a biometric attribute dataset;
- and
- select a second attribute;
- input/output circuitry configured to:
- obtain a first value for the first attribute;
- and
- obtain a second value for the second attribute;
- and
- convolution circuitry configured to convolute the first value with the second value to generate a pseudo-random number.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for using an apparatus to generate an improved pseudo-random number, the non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed, cause the apparatus to:
- receive a request for a pseudo-random number;
- select a first attribute from a biometric attribute dataset;
- obtain a first value for the first attribute;
- select a second attribute;
- obtain a second value for the second attribute;
- and
- convolute the first value with the second value to generate the pseudo-random number.
