Mobile terminal device, operation method, program, and storage medium

A method of operating a mobile terminal device, the method comprising the steps of:

• detecting input operations on a touch panel;
• controlling the terminal device to enter a suspend state so that no image is displayed when an input operation is not detected on the touch panel for a predetermined time period and that the detection rate in the suspend state is lower than the detection rate in an active state;
• and
• displaying a home screen without a password input by a user when the touch panel detects a pattern of input operations based on the position of an indicator touching or approaching the touch panel during the suspend state.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium including computer program instructions, which when executed by a mobile terminal device, cause the mobile terminal device to:

• detect input operations on a touch panel;
• control the terminal device to enter a suspend state so that no image is displayed when an input operation is not detected on the touch panel for a predetermined time period and that the detection rate in the suspend state is lower than the detection rate in an active state;
• and
• display a home screen without a password input by a user when the touch panel detects a pattern of input operations based on the position of an indicator touching or approaching the touch panel during the suspend state.
