Abstract
Benzopyran compounds, the preparation thereof, and their use in methods for treating cancer and reducing the incidence or risk of cancer recurrence. The cancer can be one or more of pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, melanoma, prostate cancer, brain cancer (including paediatric and adult), ovarian cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, uterine cancer, neuroblastoma, mesothelioma, malignant ascites or peritoneal cancer.

A compound of the general formula (I)
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof,
- wherein R1 is selected from the group consisting of:
- H and C1-C6 alkyl,
- R2 is selected from the group consisting of:
- OH and C1-C6 alkoxy,
- R3 is selected from the group consisting of:
- H, C1-C6 alkyl, and halo,
- R10 to R12 are independently selected from the group consisting of:
- OH, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 alkoxy, and halo,
- R13 and one of R14 and R15 form the following structure:
- and
- the other one of R14 and R15 is selected from the group consisting of:
- H, OH, C1-C6 alkyl, and halo.
