Methods and systems for a flexible battery

A flexible battery comprising:

• a single battery laminate with a first layer comprising at least one cathode segment and a first separator segment, and a second layer comprising at least one anode segment and a second separator segment, wherein the at least one cathode segment opposes the second separator segment, and the at least one anode segment opposes the first separator segment;
• a first portion with a first stack thickness, the first portion comprising a first sub-portion of the single battery laminate in a first orientation, a second sub-portion of the single battery laminate adjacent to the first sub-portion and oriented in a second orientation that is opposite the first orientation, and a third sub-portion of the single battery laminate adjacent to the second sub-portion and oriented in the first orientation;
• a second portion with a second stack thickness that is less than the first stack thickness, the second portion comprising a fourth sub-portion of the single battery laminate oriented in the first orientation, a fifth sub-portion of the single battery laminate adjacent to the fourth sub-portion and oriented in the second orientation;
• and
• a third portion with a third stack thickness that is less than the second stack thickness, the third portion comprising a sixth sub-portion of the single battery laminate oriented in the first orientation, wherein the second portion is in between the first portion and the third portion.
