Abstract
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for transmitting, by a first device, a transmission signal that includes a carrier signal modulated with a TM signal. Receiving a response signal from a second device in response to the transmission signal. Determining, whether the response signal includes the TM signal.
Claims20
A method for identifying transpositional modulation (TM) capable Internet of Things (IoT) devices, the method comprising:
- transmitting, by a computer networking device having a TM capable radio transmitter, a transmission signal that includes a carrier signal modulated with a TM signal;
- receiving a response signal from an IoT device in response to the transmission signal;
- and
- determining, by the computer networking device, whether the response signal includes the TM signal.
A method for providing device identification data from Internet of Things (IoT) devices, the method comprising:
- receiving, by an IoT device, a transmission signal from a computing device, the transmission signal including a carrier signal modulated with a first transpositional modulation (TM) signal;
- identifying the first TM signal within the transmission signal;
- and
- sending, by the IoT device to the computing device, a response signal that includes data encoded within a second TM signal.
