Abstract
Electrochromic windows powered by wireless power transmission are described, particularly, the combination of low-defectivity, highly-reliable solid state electrochromic windows with wireless power transmission. Wireless power transmission networks which incorporate electrochromic windows are described.

A system comprising:
- an electrochromic window including an electrochromic device;
- and
- a photovoltaic power supply configured to generate power for the electrochromic window;
- wherein the electrochromic device is configured to be controlled to change between a bleached state and a darkened state by a window controller via wireless communication, and wherein the window controller communicates with the electrochromic device via a network.

A method of powering an electrochromic window, the method comprising:
- generating power for the electrochromic window using a photovoltaic power supply;
- and
- controlling an optical transition between a bleached state and a darkened state in the electrochromic device via wireless communication from a window controller, wherein the window controller communicates with the electrochromic device via a network.
