Hosted disbursement system

A method of making disbursements to one or more users, the method comprising:

• receiving, at a service provider computer, pending disbursement information corresponding to a plurality of pending disbursements from a merchant server of a merchant;
• receiving, at the service provider computer, a disbursement request to redeem a disbursement to be made to a user of a user device from the merchant, wherein the disbursement request includes a merchant identifier that identifies the merchant, the merchant identifier provided by the merchant server of the merchant, wherein the disbursement request is redirected to the service provider computer from the merchant server;
• wherein the user device is redirected from a merchant web page hosted by the merchant server to a URL of a first hosted disbursement page that is hosted by the service provider computer;
• receiving, at the service provider computer from the user device, a web page request corresponding to the URL of the first hosted disbursement page, the web page request being received in response to the user device being redirected from the merchant web page provided by the merchant server;
• determining, by the service provider computer, a first plurality of fields for the first hosted disbursement page based on the merchant identifier included in the disbursement request and merchant configuration data for the merchant stored at the service provider computer, wherein the first plurality of fields are for receiving disbursement information in the first hosted disbursement page that is hosted by the service provider computer, wherein the merchant configuration data indicates different fields for disbursement information for different merchants, and wherein the first plurality of fields are associated with the merchant identifier in the merchant configuration data;
• creating, by the service provider computer, the first hosted disbursement page based on the merchant configuration data, the first hosted disbursement page customized for the merchant by including the first plurality of fields associated with the merchant identifier in the in the first hosted disbursement page, the first hosted disbursement page created in response to receiving of the web page request from the user device;
• providing, by the service provider computer, the first hosted disbursement page to the user device in response to the receiving of the web page request from the user device and the determining of the first plurality of fields for receiving the disbursement information;
• receiving, at the service provider computer, disbursement information from the user device via the first plurality of fields of the first hosted disbursement page, the disbursement information from the user device corresponding to the disbursement;
• identifying, at the service provider computer, the disbursement by comparing the disbursement information received from the user device via the first plurality of fields of the first hosted disbursement page to the pending disbursement information received from the merchant server;
• receiving, at the service provider computer, account information from the user device, wherein the account information is sent to the service provider computer from the user device, bypassing the merchant server;
• and
• processing, at the service provider computer, the disbursement using the account information to transfer funds corresponding to the disbursement from an account associated with the merchant to the user based on the account information.

A service provider computer, comprising:

• a processor;
• a memory device including instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
• receive disbursement information from a merchant server, wherein the disbursement information corresponds to a disbursement to be made to a user of a user device from a merchant, the disbursement information indicating a disbursement amount for the disbursement;
• wherein the merchant server:
• stores pending disbursement information corresponding to a plurality of pending disbursements,
• receives disbursement identification information from the user device via one or more merchant web pages provided by the merchant server, and
• identifies the disbursement by comparing the disbursement identification information from the user device to the pending disbursement information maintained by the merchant server before sending the disbursement information to the service provider computer;
• wherein the user device is redirected from the one or more merchant web pages hosted by the merchant server to a URL of a first hosted disbursement page that is hosted by the service provider computer, the user device being redirected by the merchant server after the merchant server identifies the disbursement;
• receive, from the user device, the disbursement information and a web page request corresponding to the URL of the first hosted disbursement page, the web page request being received in response to the user device being redirected from the one or more merchant web pages provided by the merchant server, the web page request being received after the user device is redirected from the one or more merchant web pages hosted by the merchant server;
• identify the disbursement based on the disbursement information received from the user device and the disbursement information received from the merchant server;
• create the first hosted disbursement page based on the disbursement information received from the merchant server and the user device, the first hosted disbursement page including the disbursement amount indicated by the disbursement information, the first hosted disbursement page created in response to the receiving of the disbursement information and the web page request from the user device;
• provide the first hosted disbursement page including the disbursement amount to the user device in response to the receiving of the web page request from the user device and the receiving of the disbursement information from the merchant server;
• receive a selection of a distribution option from the user device via the first hosted disbursement page, wherein the distribution option corresponds to a type of account to receive the disbursement;
• receive, account information from the user, wherein the account information is sent to the service provider computer from a user device via the first hosted disbursement page, bypassing the merchant server;
• and
• process the disbursement using the account information to transfer funds corresponding to the disbursement amount from an account associated with the merchant to the user based on the account information.
