Abstract
A battery system that includes a battery cell. The battery cell includes a proximal end and a distal end, where the proximal end is both a positive terminal and a negative terminal. The system also includes a first busbar that electrically couples to the negative terminal or the positive terminal. A second busbar is electrically coupled to the negative terminal or the positive terminal. An energy transfer plate couples to the distal end of the battery cell.
Claims8
A battery system, comprising:
- a battery cell, wherein the battery cell comprises a proximal end and a distal end, and wherein the proximal end comprises a positive terminal and a negative terminal;
- a first busbar, wherein the first busbar is configured to electrically couple to the negative terminal or the positive terminal;
- a second busbar, wherein the second busbar is configured to electrically couple to the negative terminal or the positive terminal;
- an energy transfer plate, configured to receive a fluid, wherein the energy transfer plate couples to the distal end of the battery cell;
- a pump coupled to the energy transfer plate;
- a heater configured to heat the fluid;
- and
- an energy transfer conduit abutting the battery and weaving through the first busbar and second busbar;
- and wherein,
- the pump is configured to pump the fluid through the energy transfer plate and the energy conduit.
