A computer implemented system employed in a computer network, the computer network including a first electronic, wager-based gaming device, and a first random number generator engine, the first electronic gaming device including a first display and a first input device, the system comprising:

• at least one processor;
• at least one memory;
• the at least one processor being operable to execute a plurality of instructions stored in at least one memory for causing at least one component of the computer network to:
• display, at the first display, a first game graphical user interface configured to enable a player to engage in a first wager-based gaming session of a skill-based, wager-based game conducted at the first electronic gaming device, the first game graphical user interface including a skill-based game GUI portion configured to enable the player to engage in skill-based game play activities via interaction with the skill-based game GUI portion, the first game graphical user interface further including a wager-based game GUI portion configured to display content relating to wager-based gaming activities;
• acquire a first wager-based event outcome from the first random number generator engine;
• link the first wager-based event outcome to a first type of wager-based triggering event which may occur during game play activity at the skill-based game GUI portion;
• detect, during the skill-based game play activities, an occurrence of the first type of wager-based triggering event at the skill-based game GUI portion;
• automatically execute, in response to detection of the first wager-based triggering event, a first wager-based event at the wager-based game GUI portion;
• automatically fund a first amount wagered on the first wager-based event using funds from an account balance;
• reveal, after execution of the first wager-based event, the first wager-based event outcome as an outcome of the first wager-based event;
• acquire a second wager-based event outcome from the first random number generator engine;
• link the second wager-based event outcome to a second type of wager-based triggering event which may occur during game play activity at the skill-based game GUI portion;
• detect, during the skill-based game play activities, an occurrence of the second type of wager-based triggering event at the skill-based game GUI portion;
• automatically execute, in response to detection of the second wager-based triggering event, a second wager-based event at the wager-based game GUI portion;
• automatically fund a second amount wagered on the second wager-based event using funds from the account balance;
• and
• reveal, after execution of the second wager-based event, the second wager-based event outcome as an outcome of the second wager-based event.

A non-transitory computer usable medium for use in a computer network, the computer network including a first electronic, wager-based gaming device, and a first random number generator engine, the first electronic gaming device including a first display and a first input device, the computer usable medium having computer readable code embodied therein, the computer readable code comprising:

• computer code for causing at least one processor to execute instructions to display, at the first display, a first game graphical user interface configured to enable a player to engage in a first wager-based gaming session of a skill-based, wager-based game conducted at the first electronic gaming device, the first game graphical user interface including a skill-based game GUI portion configured to enable the player to engage in skill-based game play activities via interaction with the skill-based game GUI portion, the first game graphical user interface further including a wager-based game GUI portion configured to display content relating to wager-based gaming activities;
• computer code for causing at least one processor to execute instructions to acquire a first wager-based event outcome from the first random number generator engine;
• computer code for causing at least one processor to execute instructions to link the first wager-based event outcome to a first type of wager-based triggering event which may occur during game play activity at the skill-based game GUI portion;
• computer code for causing at least one processor to execute instructions to detect, during the skill-based game play activities, an occurrence of the first type of wager-based triggering event at the skill-based game GUI portion;
• computer code for causing at least one processor to execute instructions to automatically execute, in response to detection of the first wager-based triggering event, a first wager-based event at the wager-based game GUI portion;
• computer code for causing at least one processor to execute instructions to automatically fund a first amount wagered on the first wager-based event using funds from an account balance;
• computer code for causing at least one processor to execute instructions to reveal, after execution of the first wager-based event, the first wager-based event outcome as an outcome of the first wager-based event;
• computer code for causing at least one processor to execute instructions to acquire a second wager-based event outcome from the first random number generator engine;
• computer code for causing at least one processor to execute instructions to link the second wager-based event outcome to a second type of wager-based triggering event which may occur during game play activity at the skill-based game GUI portion;
• computer code for causing at least one processor to execute instructions to detect, during the skill-based game play activities, an occurrence of the second type of wager-based triggering event at the skill-based game GUI portion;
• computer code for causing at least one processor to execute instructions to automatically execute, in response to detection of the second wager-based triggering event, a second wager-based event at the wager-based game GUI portion;
• computer code for causing at least one processor to execute instructions to automatically fund a second amount wagered on the second wager-based event using funds from the account balance;
• and
• computer code for causing at least one processor to execute instructions to reveal, after execution of the second wager-based event, the second wager-based event outcome as an outcome of the second wager-based event.
