Claims14
A system for dispensing a fluid from a bag, the system comprising:
- a bag including a fluid therein;
- a spike puncturing an outer wall of said bag, said spike comprising:
- a shaft comprising a first and a second end and an elongated body therebetween and having an outer surface;
- a first channel internal to said shaft, said first channel having a first fluid inlet and a first aperture allowing said fluid to flow from said bag through said first channel;
- a second channel internal to said spike, said second channel being noncontiguous with said first channel and having a second fluid inlet and a second aperture allowing said fluid to flow through said second channel;
- and
- a gasket attached to said outer surface of said shaft such that a center of said gasket circumscribes said shaft, said gasket being sized and shaped for sealedly attaching said spike to an external chamber.
