Abstract
Embodiments of methods and apparatus are disclosed that can provide a modular approach to an accessory shell for a portable DR detector that can accessorize features for various applications.
Claims13
A modular accessory housing configured to receive a portable digital radiographic detector, the detector comprising top and bottom surfaces, four sides all connected to the top and bottom surfaces, and a first wireless communication system, the modular accessory housing comprising:
- a closable case configured to enclose the sides and at least one of the top and bottom surfaces of the detector;
- and
- a second wireless external communication system different from the first wireless communication system.
A modular accessory housing configured to receive a portable digital radiographic detector, the detector comprising a first wireless communication system and a second wireless communication system different from the first wireless communication system, the modular accessory housing comprising:
- a closable case configured to enclose the detector;
- and
- a power and signal distribution assembly electrically connected to the detector to provide power and electronic communication between the detector and one or more accessories mounted to the closable case.
