A C-arm for a medical examination device or therapeutic device, designed as a cast metal component, the C-arm including one or more reinforcement profiles, extending along the C-arm at least in certain sections, cast in.
A method for producing a C-arm for a medical examination device or therapeutic device, the method comprising:
- introducing one or more reinforcement profiles, extending along the C-arm at least in certain sections, into a casting mold;
- and
- casting the C-arm by embedding the one or more reinforcement profiles in the casting mold.
