Information processing apparatus, information processing method, and recording medium

An information processing apparatus, comprising:

• a memory configured to store:
• messages of N times based on a multi-order multivariate polynomial set F=(f1, . . . , fm),
• a secret key s that is an element of a set Kn, and
• vectors y=(y1, . . . , ym)=(f1(s), . . . , fm(s)) that include the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F to define a public key corresponding to the secret key s,
• wherein a verifier apparatus uses the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F as the public key for authentication of a prover apparatus,
• wherein the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F is defined on a ring K;
• and
• at least one processor configured to execute instructions stored in the memory,
• wherein the at least one processor is further configured to:
• receive, via a communication network, a first hash value calculated based on the messages of N times (where N≥2),
• wherein the messages of N times (where N≥2) are generated based on the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F and the secret key s;
• provide the prover apparatus that has provided the messages with first information randomly selected on respective messages of N times;
• receive a second hash value calculated based on third information of N times, wherein conversion of the third information into the second hash value reduces a data size of transmission of the third information at least by N−1,
• wherein the third information of N times is generated by the prover apparatus based on the first information and second information of N times,
• wherein the first information and the second information of N times are obtained based on the generation of the messages;
• provide the prover apparatus with fourth information on verification patterns randomly selected from among k (where k≥3) verification patterns on the respective messages of N times;
• acquire response information corresponding to the verification patterns selected on the respective messages of N times from the prover apparatus;
• verify, the prover apparatus holds the secret key s corresponding to the public key based on the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F, the vectors y, the first information, the response information, the first hash value, and the second hash value;
• determine one of termination or resumption of verification of the prover apparatus from the first hash value based on requests of the prover apparatus for responses from the verifier apparatus corresponding to at least two challenges on a message,
• wherein the secret key s is unleaked to the verifier apparatus based on the determination of one of the termination or the resumption of the verification, and
• wherein the messages and the third information are obtained based on an operation prepared for a verification pattern corresponding to the response information in advance;
• and
• secure electronic documents based on a multi-order multivariate simultaneous equation corresponding to the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F.

An information processing method, comprising:

• in an information processing apparatus comprising at least one processor and a memory:
• generating and storing in the memory:
• messages of N times (where N≥2) based on a multi-order multivariate polynomial set F=(f1, . . . , fm) defined on a ring K,
• a secret key s that is an element of a set Kn,
• vectors y=(y1, . . . , ym)=(f1(s), . . . , fm(s)) that include the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F to define a public key corresponding to the secret key s,
• wherein a verifier apparatus uses the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F as the public key for authentication of a prover apparatus, and
• third information of N times, wherein the third information of N times is generated based on first information randomly selected by the verifier apparatus on respective messages of N times and second information of N times,
• wherein the first information and the second information of N times are obtained in response to the generation of the messages;
• calculating and storing in the memory:
• a first hash value, wherein the first hash value is calculated based on the messages of N times, and
• a second hash value, wherein the second hash value is calculated based on the third information of N times;
• and
• transmitting, from the information processing apparatus, via a communication network, to the verifier apparatus that holds:
• the first hash value, wherein the verifier apparatus holds the public key defined based on the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F and the vectors y=(y1, . . . , ym)=(f1(s), . . . , fm(s)),
• the second hash value, wherein conversion of the third information into the second hash value reduces a data size of transmission of the third information at least by N−1, and
• response information of N times corresponding to verification patterns selected by the verifier apparatus from among k (where k≥2) verification patterns on the respective messages of N times, a part of the messages, and a part of the third information,
• wherein the part of the messages and the part of the third information are obtained separately based on an operation prepared for a verification pattern corresponding to the response information in advance,
• wherein the prepared operation is based on the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F, the vectors y, and the response information;
• verifying by the verifier apparatus, the prover apparatus based on the secret key s possessed by the prover apparatus that corresponds to the public key available to the verifier apparatus;
• determining one of termination or resumption of the verification of the prover apparatus by the verifier apparatus from the first hash value based on requests of the prover apparatus for responses from the verifier apparatus corresponding to at least two challenges on a message,
• wherein the secret key s is unleaked to the verifier apparatus based on the determination of one of the termination or the resumption of the verification;
• and
• securing electronic documents based on a multi-order multivariate simultaneous equation corresponding to the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F.

An information processing method, comprising:

• in an information processing apparatus comprising at least one processor and a memory:
• generating and storing in the memory:
• messages of N times based on a multi-order multivariate polynomial set F=(f1, . . . , fm),
• a secret key s that is an element of a set Kn, and
• vectors y=(y1, . . . , ym)=(f1(s), . . . , fm(s)) that include the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F to define a public key corresponding to the secret key s,
• wherein a verifier apparatus uses the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F as the public key for authentication of a prover apparatus,
• wherein the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F is defined on a ring K;
• receiving, via a communication network, a first hash value calculated based on the messages of N times (where N≥2), wherein the first hash value is generated based on the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F and the secret key s;
• providing the prover apparatus that has provided the messages with first information randomly selected on respective messages of N times;
• acquiring a second hash value calculated based on third information of N times, wherein conversion of the third information into the second hash value reduces a data size of transmission of the third information at least by N−1,
• wherein the third information of N times is generated by the prover apparatus based on the first information and second information of N times, and
• wherein the first information and the second information of N times are obtained based on the generation of the messages;
• providing the prover apparatus with fourth information on verification patterns randomly selected from among k (where k≥3) verification patterns on respective messages of N times;
• acquiring response information corresponding to the verification patterns selected on the respective messages of N times from the prover apparatus;
• verifying the prover apparatus holds the secret key s corresponding to the public key based on the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F, the vectors y, the first information, the response information, the first hash value, and the second hash value;
• determining one of termination or resumption of the verification of the prover apparatus from the first hash value based on requests of the prover apparatus for responses from the verifier apparatus corresponding to at least two challenges on a message,
• wherein the secret key s is unleaked to the verifier apparatus based on the determination of one of the termination or the resumption of the verification,
• wherein the prover apparatus is authenticated based on the verification that F(s)=y is a solution to the multi-order multivariate simultaneous equation, and
• wherein the messages and the third information are obtained based on an operation prepared for a verification pattern corresponding to the response information in advance;
• and
• securing electronic documents based on the multi-order multivariate simultaneous equation.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon computer-executable instructions, which when executed by an information processing apparatus, cause the information processing apparatus to execute operations, the operations comprising:

• generating and storing in a memory:
• messages of N times (where N≥2) based on a multi-order multivariate polynomial set F=(f1, . . . , fm) defined on a ring K,
• a secret key s that is an element of a set Kn,
• vectors y=(y1, . . . , ym)=(f1(s), . . . , fm(s)) that include the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F to define a public key corresponding to the secret key s,
• wherein a verifier apparatus uses the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F as the public key for authentication of a prover apparatus, and
• third information of N times, wherein the third information of N times is generated based on first information randomly selected by the verifier apparatus on respective messages of N times and second information of N times,
• wherein the first information and the second information of N times are obtained based on the generation of the messages,
• calculating and storing in the memory:
• a first hash value, wherein the first hash value is calculated based on the messages of N times, and
• a second hash value, wherein the second hash value is calculated based on the third information of N times;
• and
• transmitting from the information processing apparatus, via a communication network, to the verifier apparatus:
• the first hash value, wherein the verifier apparatus holds the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F and the vectors y=(y1, . . . , ym)=(f1(s), . . . , fm(s)),
• the second hash value, wherein conversion of the third information into the second hash value reduces a data size of transmission of the third information at least by N−1, and
• response information of N times corresponding to verification patterns selected by the verifier apparatus from among k (where k≥2) verification patterns on the respective messages of N times, a part of the messages, and a part of the third information,
• wherein the part of the messages and the part of the third information are obtained separately based on an operation prepared for a verification pattern corresponding to the response information in advance, wherein the prepared operation is based on the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F, the vectors y, and the response information;
• verifying, by the verifier apparatus, the secret key s is possessed by the prover apparatus corresponding to the public key available to the verifier apparatus by solving F(s)=y;
• determining one of termination or resumption of the verification of the prover apparatus by the verifier apparatus from the first hash value based on requests of the prover apparatus for responses from the verifier apparatus corresponding to at least two challenges on a message,
• wherein the secret key s is unleaked to the verifier apparatus based on the determination of one of the termination or the resumption of the verification;
• and
• securing electronic documents based on a multi-order multivariate simultaneous equation corresponding to the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon computer-executable instructions, which when executed by an information processing apparatus, cause the information processing apparatus to execute operations, the operations comprising:

• storing in a memory:
• messages of N times based on a multi-order multivariate polynomial set F=(f1, . . . , fm),
• a secret key s that is an element of a set Kn, and
• vectors y=(y1, . . . , ym)=(f1(s), . . . , fm(s)) that include the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F to define a public key corresponding to the secret key s,
• wherein a verifier apparatus uses the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F as the public key for authentication of a prover apparatus,
• wherein the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F is defined on a ring Kn;
• receiving, via a communication network, a first hash value calculated based on messages of N times (where N≥2),
• wherein the messages of N times (where N≥2) are generated based on the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F and the secret key s;
• providing the prover apparatus that has provided the messages with first information randomly selected on respective messages of N times;
• acquiring a second hash value calculated based on third information of N times, wherein conversion of the third information into the second hash value reduces a data size of transmission of the third information at least by N−1,
• wherein the third information of N times is generated by the prover apparatus based on the first information and second information of N times,
• wherein the first information and the second information of N times are obtained in response to the generation of the messages;
• providing the prover apparatus with fourth information on verification patterns randomly selected from among k (where k≥3) verification patterns on the respective messages of N times;
• acquiring response information corresponding to the verification patterns selected on the respective messages of N times from the prover apparatus;
• verifying the prover apparatus holds the secret key s corresponding to the public key based on the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F, the vectors y, the first information, the response information, the first hash value, and the second hash value;
• determining one of termination or resumption of the verification of the prover apparatus from the first hash value based on requests of the prover apparatus for responses from the verifier apparatus corresponding to at least two challenges on a message,
• wherein the secret key s is unleaked to the verifier apparatus based on the determination of one of the termination or the resumption of the verification, and
• wherein the messages and the third information are obtained based on an operation prepared for a verification pattern corresponding to the response information in advance;
• and
• securing electronic documents based on a multi-order multivariate simultaneous equation corresponding to the multi-order multivariate polynomial set F.
