Assembly including a package for transport of radioactive materials and a package support frame,

• wherein the frame includes:
• a first portion;
• a second portion which is rigidly attached to the package, wherein the package and the second portion form an entity,
• wherein the first portion and the second portion of the frame are connected to one another by one or more mechanical fusible elements, wherein under normal transport conditions said one or more mechanical fusible elements hold one of the first portion and the second portion of the frame relative to the other in a first direction of superposition of the package on its frame, in order to avoid movement of said second portion, through gravity effect, relative to said first portion in said first direction of superposition,
• and wherein the frame is configured so that a fall of the assembly in said first direction with the first portion of the frame arranged in front of the entity in this first direction causes a rupture of said one or more mechanical fusible elements allowing said entity to move relative to said first portion, in said first direction.
