Additives for improving polyurethane foam performance

A foam precursor comprising a combination of:

• at least one polyol, at least one tertiary amine catalyst having isocyanate reactive groups selected from the group consisting of primary amine, secondary amine, hydroxyl, amide and urea;
• at least one crosslinker, at least one surfactant and a solution of at least one member selected from the group consisting of guanidine, guanidine hydrochloride salt, guanidine phosphate salts, guanidine sulfate salts, cyano guanidine, 1-acetylguanidine, nitroguanidine, 1-(o-tolyl)-biguanidine and mixtures thereof in a 30% solution of dimethyl sulfoxide, and wherein when the foam precursor is contacted with an isocyanate, a dimensionally stable flexible foam is produced without mechanical crushing.
