Dispensing mechanism for a medical device

A dispensing mechanism for administering a dosage of a medicament, the mechanism comprising:

• a housing;
• a dosage setting element for setting a single dose of the medicament to be administered from a cartridge containing multiple dosages of the medicament, the dosage setting element being moveable axially by a user in a first direction for setting the dose and moveable axially by a user in a second direction for administering the dose;
• and
• an indication element to indicate a set dose of the medicament, the indication element being arranged to be displaced axially and linearly relative to said housing by a predetermined movement of the dosage setting element, the indication element being rotationally fixed relative to the housing;
• and
• wherein the dispensing mechanism further includes a conversion element configured, during linear displacement of the indication element relative to the dosage setting element, to convert a linear movement of the dosage setting element of a first magnitude relative to said housing into a linear movement of the indication element of a second magnitude relative to said housing, and wherein said first magnitude of linear movement is different from said second magnitude of linear movement.
